More jobless people after this in Australia.Australia & New Zealand Banking Group Ltd. (ANZ.AU) is cutting a substantial number of jobs in addition to the 130 it announced last month, a union for bank workers said Monday.
“Finance Sector Union representatives met with ANZ this morning and were advised of further substantial job losses,” the union said in a statement.
A union spokeswoman said the number of losses are expected to be announced at a union press conference at 1300 local time in Melbourne, or 0200 GMT.
A spokesman for ANZ wasn’t immediately available for comment.
